On this episode, is Harvey Martin. Harvey is the founder of The MindStrong Project and a former professional pitcher in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. After graduating from Central Michigan University he finished his playing career at Minnesota State University, Mankato where he got his Masters Degree in Sport Performance. During his athletic career at MSU he was a 2x All-American and the National Pitcher of the Year in 2013.
MindStrong was developed through the process of helping young athletes find their “why” and play with purpose. It would soon turn into a leadership group represented by multiple amateur and professional athletes in the Minneapolis area. The leadership group was developed with the intent of building awareness towards leadership qualities and volunteer opportunities within their community.
Harvey does consulting work with multiple colleges across all ranks as well as professional athletes. He has done extensive work with many MLB, NFL and NHL players. Most notably NFL player Brian Peters of the Houston Texans and James van Riemsdyk of the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL. Both joined the MindStrong Project team within the last year.
